WildTroutStreams.com provides online web maps, downloadable mapping data (KML & KMZ files), useful documents, and other resources for finding wild trout streams in the lower-48 states. We started by focusing on the Eastern US back in 2006, added western coverage (with an emphasis on native trout) in 2011, and in late 2013, expanded to the midwest.
At this point all CONUS states that support a significant wild trout resource (and a few that have minimal resources) are covered.
All data is from public-domain sources (though some is pretty obscure). We also pluck useful, public-domain documents about wild trout streams from the bowels of obscure websites and make them readily accessible here.
